IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, conducted a housing microfinance training in April at Khushhali Microfinance Bank, Pakistan’s leading microfinance bank. The objective was to enhance the capacity of the bank’s loan officers on a new micro-housing product recently launched by the Bank.

Khushhali Microfinance Bank (KMBL) plans to open 10 new branches and 28 service centers in 2017. Pakistan’s largest and oldest micro finance bank is aiming to increase its reach and customer base through expansion in the rural markets and the northern areas of Pakistan.

KHUSHHALI AGRI PLUS TO REALIZE FARMERS DREAMS

Khushhali Microfinance Bank (KMBL) is rolling out agricultural loans under the Khushhali Agri Plus scheme. As part of its MSME outreach strategy, these agri loans shall aid farmers in purchasing agricultural machinery, assets and other irrigational tools. The loan scheme is organized under the Financial Market Development (FMD) project – a five year technical and training collaboration program funded by USAID in which Khushhali Microfinance Bank is one of the Development Credit Authority’s (DCA) partner banks.

KHUSHHALI MICROFINANCE BANK’S PRE-TAX PROFIT INCREASE BY 50% CLOCK IN AT PKR 1.8BILLION

The shareholders of Khushhali Microfinance Bank in its 10th Annual general meeting held on 28 March 2017 in Islamabad announced annual operating results of the Bank. Khushhali Microfinance Bank’s pre-tax profit of PKR 1.8billion increased by 50% against last year’s profit of PKR 1.2billion. The increase in profit results from continued growth in balance sheet and improved non-fund income.

Khushhali Microfinance Bank, the largest microfinance bank in Pakistan, today announced that they have signed an agreement to acquire the leading Core Banking System by Temenos (the software specialist for banking and finance). The system will be implemented by National Data Consultant (NDC) a specialized Fintech solution provider and Temenos Certified Partner in the MEA region.
